Industry leading, securities trading firm is looking for a Procurement Specialist to help source IT hardware across our offices, data centers, and co-locations in the Americas. This will include servers, networking, storage, and desktop-related equipment. In addition to sourcing the equipment, you'll be intricately involved in raising purchase orders, coordinating logistics, negotiating and redlining contracts.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in supply chain, IT, engineering, or related technical field3+ years of relevant professional experience, specifically as it applies to server technologyExperience working in HW procurement in a Linux environmentStrong background in Excel, knowledge of RFQ and ordering processes, and experience negotiating with suppliersHighly detail-oriented and organizedExcellent communicator; describes detailed problems with brevity and accuracy Self-starter who can manage several deadlines in a fast-paced environmentTeam player who enjoys collaborating with others
