Job Description

IT System Support SpecialistWe are seeking an experienced IT System Support Specialist with a minimum of three years of relevant experience to join our team. This role will be responsible for providing comprehensive IT support in a hybrid office environment in our NY office.Responsibilities:1. IT Operations Support: Manage and maintain IT systems and infrastructure in the office environment, ensuring smooth operations and minimal downtime.2. Laptop Installations: Install, configure, and deploy laptops for new employees and ensure that existing laptops are up to date with necessary software and security patches.3. Printer Support: Provide support for printer setup, configuration, and troubleshooting. Address printer-related issues promptly to minimize disruptions to office productivity.4. Email Client Usage Support: Assist users with setting up and configuring email clients (e.g., Outlook, Thunderbird) on their devices. Provide guidance on email best practices and troubleshoot email-related issues.5. Level 1 IT Support: Serve as the first point of contact for IT-related inquiries and issues from employees. Provide timely and effective resolution or escalate to higher-level support as needed.6. Hardware and Software Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems for desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment. Troubleshoot connectivity issues, software errors, and system crashes.7. IT Equipment Installation: Install, set up, and configure various IT equipment such as monitors, keyboards, mice, and peripherals. Ensure that all equipment is functioning correctly and integrated into the office environment seamlessly.8. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of IT inventory, installations, and support tickets. Generate reports on IT support activities and performance metrics.9. User Training and Guidance: Offer training and guidance to employees on IT tools, systems, and best practices. Help users optimize their use of IT resources to enhance productivity and efficiency.Requirements:- Minimum of three years of experience in IT system support or a related field.- Proficiency in installing and configuring laptops, printers, email clients, and other IT equipment.- Strong knowledge of IT hardware, software, and networking principles.- Experience providing Level 1 IT support and troubleshooting for end-users.- Excellent communication and customer service skills.- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid office environment with flexible work hours.- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) are a plus.
