Database Analyst Located in Plainsboro, NJPay rate $45.00 per hourDescription:Schedule Hybrid (3 days per week in-office)SCHEDULE: 8:00 to 4:00, or 9:00 to 5:00TOP THREE MUST HAVES:1. Ability to work independently with high quality productionKey responsibilities:Responsible for overall support of the company data strategy office including but not limited documentation, quality control, analytical support and development.1. Responsible for quality control and standards development in company Data Office2. Assess, prioritize, and document functional requirements.3. Deliver ad-hoc analyses to support business decisionsMain job tasks:Drive Data Governance & Data EnablementQuality control to support analytics and reportingDevelop understanding of key business questions to be answered in each projectLeverage analytical skills to collect, clean, quality control, integrate and analyze data - including sales, marketing & cost dataEnsure project documentation is maintained; all governance policies and procedures are followed. Support creation of new data governance policies.Develop and present recommendations to key stakeholdersBe a trusted advisor for the analysis methodologyDevelop custom analysis with Tableau, Advanced Excel, SAS, PowerPoint, Access; SQLHelp build a center of excellence for creating analytically ready data sets, for use among analytics community.Ensure detailed data quality checks are performed on an ongoing basis to ensure analytical readinessAssemble large, complex data sets that meet functional non-functional business requirements & Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases & provide guidance and support on the data set, identify areas requiring process improvements to standardize data governance.Deliver ad-hoc analyses to support decision makingAware of persistency and adherence metrics, knowledge of analytics on de-identified patient level data.Ensure superior customer satisfaction by delivering high end quality support to the stakeholdersCollaborate closely with stakeholders to look at feedback and development opportunitiesKnowledge, skills and experience:Education:Bachelors Degree (preferably within quantitativemanagement discipline) preferred, solid relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements if appropriate.Experience:3-5 years of experience working with data in the commercial domain, experience in pharmaceutical industry is preferred.Experience managing stakeholders to drive projects forwardStrategic and analytical capabilities, with experience in analyzing complex situations, collecting data and effectively synthesizing insightsProject management and relationship building skills to overcome complex and multidimensional business challengesTechnical skills -TableauAdvanced Excel,Alteryx a plusExperience in SQL and complex QueryWorking level knowledge of SAS a plusPersonal skills:Ability to think strategically and look beyond the data, data storytellingStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh motivation and proactivityStrong written and oral communication skillsAttention to detail and focus on qualityExcellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop strong working relationships and effectively influence stakeholders across all levels of the businessHigh degree of flexibility, as the nature & timing of assignments change according to business requirements
