Job Description

The Technical Sales Representative (TSR) reports to the District Manager and coordinates sales activities within the territory, creating added value for the customer with a clear focus on increasing market share, profitability and customer satisfaction.Essential Functions:Lead the development and implementation of the account plans and growth actionsDefine sales targets for the account, and ensuring they are achieved with a structured follow-up process across utilizing a Customer Relationship Management tool (CRM)Provide solutions for their businesses that are in line with volume, mix and profitability targetsMonitor competitor activity and ensuring appropriate action is takenBuild long-term relationships with customers ensuring that service needs are fulfilledNetwork through active participation in industry association events and committee assignmentsActively work with other departments including manufacturing and logistics to ensure customer service needs are metIdentifies bottlenecks in service delivery and works within the Company to resolve issuesCoordinates sales activities with team members in business development and application specialistsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Relevant FieldKnowledge and experience using MS Office tools and CRM's5+ years of experience in a Sales or operational role in construction and concretePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Master's Degree in Business Administration or Relevant FieldTRAITS OF THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and influencing skillsTechnical aptitude for construction products and their application with significant experience in concrete production or constructionAbility to understand customers' business needs and propose appropriate solutionsTime management with balance of prospecting, selling, and account managementCollecting and analyzing data concerning customer behavior to understand changing needs in the marketStrong organizational skills and attention to detailProblem solving skillsA collaborative, solution-focused approach, with strong communication and customer relationship-building skills to maintain current business and acquire new customer requestsChryso and GCP, Saint-Gobain brands in our Construction Chemicals business, are leading global designer and manufacturer of high quality concrete admixture thanks to a strong commitment to research and innovation, coupled with adherence to the strictest manufacturing standards in the industry.
