SUMMARY: Hiring for a Senior Accountant role at growing and fast-paced plastics distribution company. This role will play an integral part of the day-to-day general accounting and related processes. Additional Job duties include working with the Finance & Accounting team to optimize processes and to comply with company policies and accepted accounting standards. Position reports to VP Finance & Accounting ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Month End Close:This role will assist in the month-end close process. record month end entries in accordance with company and generally accepted accounting plete account reconciliations. General Accounting:Review the monthly credit card statements and record all expenses into the appropriate expense department accounts Record all accruals, amortization, and depreciation entriesAssist in the Annual Audit process. (d) Perform ad hoc projects, such as account analysis, spending analysis, etc. Inventory Complete inventory reconciliations between internal system and 3rd party warehouse reportsMake Inventory Adjustments and edit Inventory CostReceipt material purchases into inventory and coordinate with Purchasing and Accounts Payable for any variancesAccounts Receivable:Proper storage of all customer billings and related documentation. Collection of past due accounts. Cash application of incoming customer payments. Prepare weekly monthly reporting to VP Finance on status of AR; i.e. AR Report, Customers on Hold Conventus Polymers LLC Senior Accountant General Finance Duties (a) Weekly Inventory Report (b) Complete the Borrowing Base Certificate; AR & Inventory Assist with the Finance database, used for commission calculation and gross margin analysis. Ad Hoc Projects (a) Perform ad hoc projects and analysis upon request.Work Environment: This job will operate at a private office Parsippany, NJ. Individual will work at office 5 daysweek. Travel: 0% Required Education and Experience: Qualified candidates should have an accounting degree 3-5 years of experience working in General Accounting.Proficient in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).
