With a global presence and a dedication to innovation and integrity, we serve clients around the world with a comprehensive range of financial products and services.Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as the Managing Director, Head of U.S. Tax Compliance, Accounting, and Reporting. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Tax, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of U.S. tax accounting, compliance, and reporting for our organization, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.Responsibilities:Manage the timely and accurate preparation, review, and filing of thousands of tax returns annually, including federal, state, and international filings, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.Calculate and analyze the effective tax rate for two public companies, identifying opportunities for tax optimization and efficiency improvements.Document all temporary and permanent booktax adjustments, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation for audit and reporting purposes.Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize the company's tax liabilities while maintaining compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the company's tax obligations, advising senior management on potential risks and opportunities.Lead and manage a team of nine tax professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance and professional development.Collaborate with other departments, including Finance, Legal, and Operations, to ensure alignment and integration of tax strategies and initiatives with overall business objectives.Build and maintain relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and other relevant stakeholders, representing the company's interests and ensuring effective communication and cooperation.Serve as a subject matter expert on tax matters, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders and external partners as needed.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or advanced degree (e.g., MST) preferred.Minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in tax accounting, compliance, and reporting, preferably within a large financial services company or public accounting firm.Strong technical knowledge of US and international tax laws and regulations, with experience in both domestic and international tax compliance and planning.Experience with corporate and partnership taxation.Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and develop a team of tax professionals.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex tax issues and develop innovative solutions.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals and senior executives.Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to excellence, with a demonstrated track record of delivering results and driving continuous improvement.Salary: $300k - $350kThe actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
