We are currently seeking candidates to fill the Manager of Safety-Environmental role in our Columbus, NE plant with oversight into our Elkton, KY plant. This critical role manages the Lean Safety & Environmental process for manufacturing plants, regionally. They will Liaison with Government agencies (federal, state, and local). This is a leadership role in the company and will ensure compliance with regulations and drive the lean process towards continuous improvement, safety culture, and process sustainability. What will you do in this role? Leads and supports Flexcon's safety culture and our drive for improvementCollaborates with Safety team to ensure consistent practices in all North America sitesManages and implements the site safety programs, training and activities at Flexcon facilities pertaining to; Hazard, Lock-OutTag-Out, Respirators, Confined spaces, powered industrial trucks, NFPA codes, Safety Data Sheets, Fall Protection programs amongst others. Oversees the site environmental programs for assigned facilitiesConduct various safety assessments to identify and implement improvementsCollaborates with manufacturing employees and leadership on identifying and implementing safety, environmental and sustainability initiatives, and improvements. Supports KPI development and the tracking of safety metrics. Manages the site Incident Management process and supports investigations and corrective action development. What does it take to be successful in this role?
