International logistics and freight forwarding company in the Manhasset, NY area is seeking an experienced Air and Ocean Import Specialist.Responsibilities include but not limited to:Process and manage our clients Purchase Orders and documentation related to customs clearance,Communicate clearly and effectively with origin teams, SSL, Airlines and customers providing full shipping details, pricing, tracking and tracing and updates on any delays,Confirm all details on purchase orders with suppliers and clients to ensure accuracy in time of shipping as well as quantities to be shipped or reason for delay,Coordinate with Customs Broker Division to ensure timely entry is done and Delivery Orders are out in time, Follow up on destination to ensure all releases are in order to expedite delivery of cargo with no delay,Perform all relevant milestone updates in the system allowing us to close and invoice the file on time with no delays.Ability to handle a high volume of cases. Qualifications Bachelors Degree Required Minimum 5 years logistics experience required Mandarin andor Spanish speakingwriting skills a plus Microsoft Office Clear Verbal and communication skills Detail Oriented Working Knowledge of ImportExport regulations related to Ocean and Air Transportation Career and Goal oriented
