Location: Midtown NYCCompensation: $100k-$115k base + bonusKey Responsibilities:Assess, compose, negotiate, and monitor distribution and placement agent contracts with external intermediaries both domestically and internationally, covering various entities such as business development companies, REITs, and private funds.Serve as intermediary between the firm and counterparties to finalize distribution agreements and other time sensitive matters by coordinating with global colleagues and other stakeholdersDraft responses and organize materials in response to due diligence requestsReview client facing documentationProvide day-to-day operations support to the Legal departmentDevelop and maintain trackers and materials using data from across the organizationReview non-disclosure agreements in coordination with external counselDevelop strong working relationships and partnerships with other teams to support client needsEnsure that all Legal team records are stored in secure, organized file systems to support shared knowledge and compliant record-keepingPerform special projects and other responsibilities for the Legal teamCoordinate signatures for documents and various materialsWhat's Required:4+ years of experience at major law firm or in-house legal department, with minimum 2+ years experience working on distribution and placement agent agreements at a Financial Services firm preferredBachelor's degreeStrong working knowledge of , Salesforce and Office Suite, with emphasis on ExcelDemonstrated drive for results and ability to prioritize risks and projects to focus on what's important in a fast- paced, entrepreneurial environmentExcellent planning and organization skills; meticulous attention to detail is a mustExcellent oral and written communication skillsSolutions-oriented problem solverStrong work ethic and willingness to roll up sleeves to get things doneTeam player with enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity to learn more
