JLS Job Requirement for: *Principal Systems Engineer* Location: Dulles, VA (Hybrid) *Job Description*: Serve as a Systems Engineer on a mission critical development and sustainment program Assess, design, and develop automated cloud-based requirements and architectures Lead and facilitate preparation and readiness for ART events Assist teams in preparation for ART activities Develop requirements and System Engineering (SE) artifacts Provide SE expertise and project leadership for a large cybersecurity system Coordinate teams in the dev., int., and testing of advanced leading-edge cybersecurity Interface directly with the Customer, stakeholders, and end-users regarding: * Priorities, capability architectures, requirements, use cases, and stories to derive * Develop and decompose next-cycle updates and specifications Represent the voice of the user in development Collaborate within Agile Release Trains and Agile Teams Support risk assessments and developing risk mitigation countermeasures *Qualifications*: Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability 10+ years of directly relevant systems engineering experience * Allocation of hardware and software requirements * Development of use cases and stories * Detailed design of system components * Direct automation / orchestration experience with larger systems 6+ years direct experience with AWS cloud deployment and management tools Agile Release Train (ART) experience Proven leadership skills and meaningful experience successfully leading large teams Experience working in an Agile development environment in a leadership role Possesses knowledge of Gov. Information Security policies, regulations, and guidelines Expertise in automation of infrastructure - deployment, configuration, and orchestration Experience with scripting in JSON, YAML, HCL, Python, and/or bash/PSH Experience with scripting in CloudFormation/ Terraform Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Comp.
