Position:Field Sales RepresentativeJob Description:Richardson RFPD is looking for an experienced Technical Field Sales Representative to engage with customers across our state markets to create demand for our suppliers' products.Richardson RFPD, an Arrow Company, is a specialized electronic component distributor providing design engineers with deep technical expertise and localized global design support for the latest new products from the world's leading suppliers of RF, Wireless, IoT and Power Technologies. What You'll Be Doing: Primary responsibility is to build & maintain influential relationships with customers, suppliers and Richardson RFPD partners, creating demand for Richardson RFPD products by proactively offering engineering and supply chain solutionsKey areas of responsibility are: Demand creation and relationship management focused on technical needs of complex, emerging, or underpenetrated prospectsHas a fundamental understanding of all of Richardson RFPD solutions and is able to match those solutions to customer business needsWill drive/create new opportunities and product selection within their accounts, and create demand activity using other technical resources as neededDrive supplier and customer engineering relationships at multiple levelsUtilize distribution/rep/supplier knowledge to grow market share and salesBuild strong relationships with suppliers and their repsAccount Management: Initiate and schedule regular visits to the customer facility selling Richardson RFPD's franchised lines and servicesCreate selling opportunities through a planned discovery process and strategic approachGain solid understanding of customer's needs and how to translate those needs to Richardson RFPD's requirements or opportunitiesExecutes on solution selling through a working knowledge of Richardson RFPD's supply chain solutions and design processesGrow profit and maximize margins by selling value-added, long-term solutions, with emphasis on demand creation and engineeringRelationships: Staying current on product knowledge and/or gaining technical certificationsAttend supplier training events to keep up-to-date on product lineMaintains supplier databases and keeps design registration information accurateStay updated on current related technologies in customer base, and attend training as neededGuides others in resolving complex issues in specialized area based on existing solutions and proceduresServes as an expert within own disciplineServes as a resource for best practices/quality on functional teams or projectsTrains/mentors junior staffWhat We're Looking For:Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a 4-year degree; or 8 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent experience.Must have a strong understanding of the territory you will be working inMust have working industry knowledgeMust have a drive to succeedThe Skills That Will Help You Succeed Even More: Semiconductor Sales experienceDistribution Rep experienceManufacturers Rep experienceOEM Rep experienceWork Arrangement: Fully Remote: Must be able to travel to a Richardson RFPD office location as requested by Richardson RFPD leadershipWhat's In It For You: At Richardson RFPD, an Arrow company, we recognize that financial rewards and great benefits are important aspects of an ideal job.
