The Private Client Services (PCS) Tax Practice focuses on tax business planning, advisory & compliance services for ultra-wealthy families as well as multi-general wealth planning. The group specializes in the taxation of gifts, trusts, estates, foundations, closely held entities and individual returns.Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:Review and prepare complex fiduciary and income tax returns.Provide tax planning and consulting to high-net-worth clients for estate and individual income taxes.Build impactful relationships with new and existing clients and maintain relationships with firm leadership.Take responsibility for accurate time and billing for self and team.Responsible for training, supervising and ongoing development of associates and seniors.Develop a working knowledge of the client's business, take responsibility for completing assigned tasks, and meet client deadlines.Actively solicit new client relationships and participate in client/potential client seminars to expand networking opportunities.Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards, and proactively apply new knowledge to client engagements.Collaborate with other tax professionals within the firm to coordinate efforts, share knowledge, and ensure efficient and effective delivery of tax services.Hold self and direct reports responsible for achieving developmental goalsMentor and coach junior team members.Professional Development: Participate in training programs and professional development activities to enhance technical knowledge and develop industry-specific expertise.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting required7+ years' of relevant work and industry experience within Private Client Services/Family Office taxPrior experience managing engagements and clientsFormal mentoring relationships with all levels of staffAbility to work independently, but also work well with othersPreferred QualificationsCPA License or EA requiredMaster's degree in Accounting or Taxation3+ years' supervisory experienceSoftware Experience - CCH ProSystem and CCH AxcessAbout Our FirmAs one of the largest and fastest growing accounting firms in the nation, Grassi is a leading provider of advisory, tax and accounting services to businesses and individuals.
