Our Norman Manufacturing Plant is a state-of-the-art facility supporting the research, design, manufacturing, and testing of our rooftop products. The 950,000-square-foot facility includes almost 400,000 square-feet of incremental laboratory and manufacturing space and renovations to over 150,000 square-feet of office and meeting space.What you will doAs a Lean Implementer, you will have the opportunity to use your skills and expertise to optimize our people talents and resources by driving efficiencies throughout the value stream.THIS POSITION IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR VISA SPONSORSHIP OR RELOCATION ASSISTANCE.How you will do itDrive breakthrough performance in People, Quality, Material Flow, and Cost while working alongside cross-functional teams.Collaborate with the Lean Manager and/or leadership team to assess the current state of the plant's operations and develop a future state vision and implementation plan utilizing your experience in Value Stream analysis and Lean principles.Serve as a coach and guide teams in understanding and executing Lean principles.Identify, implement and standardize model Lean lines/cells throughout the plant leveraging your Lean background.Track project performance and ensure timely completion and achievement of product/process quality and cost improvement goals using your statistical knowledge and computer.Support the development of Johnson Controls Management System (JCMS) targets and maturity plans to drive a Lean culture in all areas of the business.Align with PBU and Site leadership strategic plans to prioritize projects, eliminate waste and support the achievement of business results.What we look forRequired:Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three (3) years of experience leading Kaizen events and Lean project activities OR an Associate degree and a minimum of minimum of three (3) years of experience leading Kaizen events and Lean project activities OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience with Lean tools such as value stream mapping, kaizen, 5S, waste elimination, pull systems, kanban, standard work, poka yoke and problem-solving processes.Solid grasp of manufacturing principles such as process, material flow and maintenance.Proven success in influencing without authority.Proficiency using MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams and Outlook. Strong communication and presentation skills.Ability to work 1st shift (7:00AM-4:00PM or 8:00AM-5:00PM, Monday-Friday) as well as occasional overnight or weekend hours as needed to support projects).Preferred:Six Sigma green belt or black belt.Experience using Minitab.Experience using data and analytics visualization tools such as developing PowerBI dashboards.Experience providing engaging hands-on training to manufacturing team members.Build your best future with the Johnson Controls teamAs a global leader in smart, healthy and sustainable buildings, our mission is to reimagine the performance of buildings to serve people, places and the planet.  Join a winning team that enables you to build your best future!
