Our client, Medical device manufacturing / Pharma industry  is seeking a Sr. Scientist  to join their team. As a Sr scientist, you will be part of the Nutrition Research & Development supporting Scientific team. The ideal candidate will have Nurtitional and clinical background  which will align successfully in the organization.   Job Title: Sr . Scientist  Location: Columbus , OH Pay Range: $30 - $35 /hr on W2   Day-to-day activities may include but are not limited to the following: Function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME): Provide nutrition and clinical science expertise to translate complex science and research into compelling product claims and scientific messaging. Communicate the science and product benefits to both internal and external audiences of varying knowledge levels. Stay current with standards of nutrition care and scientific literature. Represent Nutrition Science in cross-functional initiatives and programs, including product claim development and substantiation. Establish and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships. Collaborate with platform scientists, product development teams, commercial (marketing and sales, sales training), public affairs, regulatory, key opinion leaders, customers, and consumers. Innovate and support the nutrition product portfolio to deliver against business strategies. Innovation and evidence generation: Engage in product ideation and innovation to build the product pipeline. Assess new ingredients and technologies. Develop clinical research strategies to generate new evidence for claims, messaging, and publications. Participate in clinical research and secondary data analytics. Communication skills (oral and written): Prepare and deliver nutrition science-based content and presentations to the field sales force, sales training, affiliates, advisory boards, customers, consumers, and external key opinion leaders. Support the global business strategy by developing and reviewing product and science educational materials such as product monographs, training materials, medical justifications, FAQ documents, white papers, scientific backgrounders, and manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals. Cross-functional partnership: Serve as the SME and nutrition science lead on cross-functional teams, including new product development, process improvement, external programs, and collaborations. Competitive surveillance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitors' products, ingredients, features, benefits, claims, and educational events. Understand the implications of competitor activities and how they relate to our product line. Skills/Experience Requirements: Strong collaborative, project leadership, research, publication, and scientific writing skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills, are required. Proven ability to work independently as a self-starter and collaborator with global teams and colleagues. Ability to work constructively, decisively, and collegially with external and internal customers, consumers, and key opinion leaders. A minimum of 1-2 years of clinical, industry, and/or academic experience that blends science and business is preferred. Education Requirements: MS, Ph.D., or RD with a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience. Experience working in a clinical setting is highly desired but not required. Significant Work Activities & Conditions: Continuous sitting and working on a computer for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8-hour day) is possible.
