GDIT is currently looking for an experienced, TS/SCI cleared Senior Policy Writer to join its mission critical team located in Washington, DC. Candidates must have knowledge and experience with critically analyzing and assessing a variety of continuity programs, as well as conducting coordination with project manager or task leads to develop policies, produce continuity of operations (COOP) / continuity of government (COG) operations plans, and development of training and / or exercise standards. In addition, a competitive candidate should have the following experience and knowledge, which should be clearly described in the resume, along with security clearance status:Compose, maintain and clarify client-specific policies and proceduresAssemble, prepare, and analyze data for operational and official correspondence, studies, and white papers; present data in briefing and other formats to clientsCoordinate, draft, and / or introduce policy and facilitate the implementation of new and revised policies and guidelinesPrepare reports / briefings based on the expert interpretation of analyzed dataFamiliarization with continuity publications such as FCD-1/2, PDD-67, NSPD-51 / HSPD-20, NCPIP, PPDs-8, 35, 40ResponsibilitiesAnalyze, research, and develop policy and procedure documents according to client requirementsReview substantive and complex documentation reflecting detailed knowledge of functional areas as required by the client organization.Maintain policy manuals by keeping accurate files; to include maintaining a record of all updates, revisions and deletionsRevise and update procedures regularly to ensure the most up to date procedures are readily available and subject matter remains accurate.Coordinate meetings, compile results, and document processes endorsed by the customer and the user communityEvaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and abstract up from low-level information to a general understandingAdjust rapidly to shifts in priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously that may include staff support relating to current operationsProactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements, to include legal consultation and subject matter expertsDemonstrate experience with process flow and mapping and / or SharePointIn order to qualify, the following qualifications and criteria must be met:Must have knowledge and experience producing, handling, storing, transmitting, and transporting classified materials, up to and including Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAPs) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)Active TS/SCI requiredMust have excellent organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated skills in critical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solvingMust have experience working with senior government and military personnel, and have exceptional written and oral presentation skillsBA / BS or equivalent + 8 years related experience, or MS + 3 years related experience; degree major in English or Communications preferable.Work Requirements.cls-1{fill:none;stroke:#5b6670;stroke-miterlimit:10;stroke-width:2px} Years of Experience 8 + years of related experience* may vary based on technical training, certification(s), or degree.cls-2{fill:none;stroke:#5b6670;stroke-miterlimit:10;stroke-width:2px} CertificationTravel Required Less than 10%.cls-3{fill:none;stroke:#5d666f;stroke-miterlimit:10} Citizenship U.S. Citizenship RequiredSalary and Benefit Information The likely salary range for this position is $106,250 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
