A great UHY client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support our accounting department in maintaining accurate financial records and processing transactions. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and proficiency in accounting software. The Accounting Specialist is an onsite position. This is a client direct hire position. Accounting Specialist Key Responsibilities * Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable. * Process invoices, expense reports, and payments in a timely manner. * Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure proper documentation. * Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end closing processes. * Prepare and maintain financial reports and spreadsheets. * Respond to inquiries from vendors and customers regarding billing and payments. * Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information. * Perform data entry and maintain organized filing systems for financial documents. * Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts. Accounting Specialist Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. * Previous experience as an accounting clerk or in a related role. * Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. * Proficiency in accounting software * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. * Strong organizational and time-management skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
