Our software and hardware testing solutions include: BMS/Motor/Engine HILS Systems, Tire & Emissions Testing Equipment, Vehicle Measurement Systems, Combustion Analysis, Dynos and Controllers, and more!Your Role:We are looking for an experienced Field Service Technician that will complete new system installations and assist our customers by resolving technical problems which occurred during installation or operation of company products. The implementation team will consult with customers regarding pre- and post-installation problems by working closely with design engineers in evaluating the product performance of the equipment/system and acceptance testing during system assembly and installation.What Youll DoReviews customer equipment interface requirements to ensure systems are installed appropriately.Travels to customer sites to complete new system installations in addition to repairing customer's systems.Conducts and coordinates start-up, cut-over and check-out activities on newly installed systems.Provide hardware and software troubleshooting for customer powertrain test equipment on the production floor.Completes all activities, both at the customer site and at the Ann Arbor office, to safety standards.Maintains communication with management and provides timely status updates, including requests from the customer for changes of scope, issues that arise onsite, support needed, and completion of key milestones.Keeps up to date on administrative responsibilities such as completing Field Activity Reports and other records.Represents the company to the customer in a professional manner and assumes accountability for customer satisfaction for assigned projects.Active participant in departmental continuous improvement activities; always seek room for improvement and discuss with Team Lead and Manager.Demonstrates ethical and professional behavior in accordance with company valuesPrioritizes personal growth and development by attending company provided trainings and seminars.Exhibits the honmono spirit daily and in all interactions with customers and peers.Demonstrate excellent judgment in customer relations and in managing company resources; strong competency in instrument systems technology to include mechanics, electrical, and software technology.Learns about ADT products and services and keeps up to date on any enhancements.Mentors and trains members of the team.Conducts technical seminars, training and informal on-the-job training for Implementation Team.Extended ResponsibilityCompletes activities for Assembly, Service, Factory Test, Commissioning and Facilities as needed. May be the lead in any of these areas at any time as assigned by the Team Lead.Listens to customer needs to identify potential sales opportunities such as new contracts, contract renewals and system sales. Contacts the ADT Sales Manager with any leads and information.Other duties may be assigned.What Youll BringElectronics training equivalent to two years of technical trade school or military school and extensive field service activity, most of which should normally have been within a directly applicable industry.5+ years of experience with panel assembly and troubleshooting (Dynos knowledge preferred)Proficient use of tools and test equipment.Self-starter with strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to think and act in a logical and methodical wayMust be computer literate in Microsoft Word and Excel and be able to utilize computer-based tools for reports, email and for general communicationAbility to operate remotely from the main office with minimum supervisionTravel up to 50% of the time as required by business needs.A working knowledge of engine dyno cells.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to successfully work as a part of a team.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met.
