This industry leader is seeking a dynamic and experienced Electrician / Electro-Mechanical Technician to drive excellence and lead a team of maintenance professionals.Position OverviewJob Title: Electrician / Electro-Mechanical TechnicianLocation: Montgomery / Aurora, IllinoisStatus: Full-timeKey ResponsibilitiesDocument and update troubleshooting procedures for electrical issues, ensuring thorough records for future reference.Ensure compliance with NEC and NFPA 70E electrical standards, coordinating with engineering to address any non-compliance.Assist with remote troubleshooting in collaboration with engineering teams when necessary.Perform a variety of specialized maintenance tasks, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems servicing.Install and repair electrical systems, diagnosing issues, and ensuring proper wiring and equipment functionality.Maintain clear communication with work teams by documenting actions, reporting irregularities, and identifying ongoing needs.Adhere to safety standards and practices, utilizing required protective gear and ensuring all tasks are performed safely.Keep the work environment clean and organized, ensuring all equipment is in proper working order.Train colleagues on procedures and best practices as needed.Key Qualifications5-7 years of experience as an industrial electrician.Skilled in troubleshooting, installing, and repairing electrical systems, including pneumatic/electrical instrumentation, power distribution, and control wiring.Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and national electrical codes.Experience working with AC/DC drives, motors, PLCs, sensors, and various control devices.Familiarity with Servo/Stepper/Custom drive systems (e.g., Kinetics, Sercos, Lexium, Emerson Servos, Parker Stepper Drives).Competence in ethernet and communication protocols (e.g., RS232, RS485, Modbus+, DeviceNet) for diagnosing and repairing equipment.Hands-on experience with mechanical components like motors, gearboxes, bearings, and driveshafts.Ability to operate shop tools and equipment, including grinders, drill presses, and hydraulic presses.Willingness to work flexible shifts and overtime as required.Perks & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceBenefits packageOpportunity to work with iconic brands and contribute to their successDynamic and collaborative work environmentProfessional development and growth opportunities within a forward-thinking organizationIf youre a seasoned Electrician / Electro-Mechanical Technician with a passion for operational excellence, a strategic mindset, and a desire to be part of a high-performing team at a top-tier company, we invite you to apply.By applying, you give your consent to be submitted to our client for this opportunity.
