We are hiring a Merchandising Trend Specialist in Contemporary Apparel for a top fashion company in New York, New York. Role is temp to perm.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain client relationships through the delivery of notable information, business intelligence and overall guidance to support clients in achieving their objectives.Continuously and proactively review and analyze clients' existing needs and future opportunitiesPre-market assortment development and in-market line reviewNew product launch strategyBrand positioningCategory based sales performance: Track shifts in category performance and analyze top selling stylesPromotional strategies: Liaise with clients on developing product promotions, merchandising, and marketing concepts.New brand opportunities: Identify new and innovative brands for retail clientsPricing strategyDigital and e-commerce strategyShop the market, analyzing product offering to assess relevance for specific client needs and objectivesBuild and maintain digital skillset in alignment with evolving industry best practicesRequired Qualifications:Bachelors Degree (Merchandising, Marketing or Business is preferred)5+ years of industry experience in retail, fashion, wholesale and/or other relevant areasExpertise and prior experience in Women's Apparel is required; experience in juniors and/or contemporary is a plusHighly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint andExcelExperience in and ability to build compelling PowerPoint decksTravel as needed to visit client locations, tradeshows, and retail tripsIf you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.The Solomon Page DistinctionSolomon Page offers a comprehensive benefit program for hourly employees.
