Naperville family law firm in need of a reliable and proactive paralegal. The paralegal will work directly with our attorneys and clients in drafting pleadings, agreements and other court documents. Paralegals also work on fact-finding projects and will be involved in cases from start to finish. The ideal candidate for this position is organized, professional, responsible, and empathetic. The ideal candidate will also have excellent oral and written communication skills, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and exceptional problem-solving skills. A bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate or 3-5 years' experience in family law is required. Ability to speak and read/write in Spanish is a plus. Duties and skills required include:Conducting discovery and related fact investigationDrafting court documents, settlement agreements, and letters to clients, opposing counsel, experts, the court, and others Coordinating court dates, depositions, and client appointments, including all correspondence and logistics necessaryPreparing files for court dates, hearings, depositions, and trialExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to take direction and work independently with little or no supervisionFamiliarity with MS Office, Outlook, MyCase case management and time and billing software is a plus.Salary commensurate with experience.
