This is the kinds of Projects RA has been a part of.Wrangler Job DescriptionResponsibilities:Oversee daily robot setups and operations; monitoring, maintaining, and conducting of various lab experiments, which involves dataset collection (retrieval, filing and labeling) related to the operations of the robot and its performance of various assigned tasks ("Robot Data") and maintaining both hardware and software configurations of the company's robots and associated hardware.Vendor will perform routine maintenance checks of the existing hardware (e.g. battery change-outs and device calibrations) and software (e.g. robot code and software tools) to ensure it complies with the operational capabilities of both the related company directed experiments and the hardware's operating environment. This is expected to occur both in a local environment where the vendor is adjacent to the robot and in a remote environment where the vendor is located at a different physical location than where the robot is situated. Vendor will leverage their knowledge and experience to suggest any improvements to setups that will increase efficiency or capabilities of such setups.Vendor is expected to research and fully understand the hardware configuration and software stack of the applicable robot(s) prior to performing the services.Vendor is expected to navigate through the company's database, chatrooms, and documentation to understand processes and procedures of operations.Execute various manipulation tasks in a gaming simulation and remote control environment with an aim in collecting clean datasets. All data will be clean and usable, fully representing manipulation tasks performed. Vendor, from time to time as needed, will collect data related to the operations of the robot and its performance of various assigned tasks ("Robot Data") via a virtual reality headset and game controller which is utilized to control the operation of a robot either through navigation or manipulation of arms through the visual and virtual representation of its surroundings. Vendor will retrieve and label datasets in accordance with the company's standards and direction and save them in the appropriate, company assigned repositories. Vendor will analyze and determine trends in datasets by generating and manipulating queries in SQL scripts in accordance with the company's standards.All Robot Data collected must be in accordance with established company acceptance standards (which may vary over time as more Robot Data is collected and/or based on requirements and updates provided by the Project Manager).Ensure robotic hardware and software configuration control.Vendor will maintain configuration control of both hardware and software stacks to ensure there is a strong reliance on all collected Robot Data and that all Robot Data coincides with previous iterations. Vendor will track and record any diversion from current configuration of both hardware and software between Robot Data collection sessions and, where appropriate, perform data leveling on any variances of configurations during each Robot Data collection session.Troubleshoot, report, and resolve any test results or issues relating to robotic hardware and software.Vendor will troubleshoot deviations on the hardware or software and will record and report all such deviations.Vendor will assess all associated setups for compliance to the company's standards, notify the company of any non-compliance, and resolve such non-compliances where possible. Vendor will be able to recognize deviations from standard operating environments and performance that occur during the course of data collection.Vendor will be able to navigate through the company's database, chatrooms, and documentation to troubleshoot issues and find solutions to daily problems.Create and refine the company's documentation and procedures.Vendor will read and understand all documentation related to and prior to providing services.
