Easy Apply now by clicking the "Apply Now" buttonand sending us your resume.Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 per yearA bit about us:Construction law boutique representing industrial, infrastructure, and commercial contractors throughout North America.Why join us?We are looking for experienced lateral hires with backgrounds in construction, engineering, finance, and/or accounting, as well as entry-level attorneys prepared to develop their skills within our firm.Job DetailsResponsibilities:Provide comprehensive legal advice to our clients on all aspects of construction law, including contract law, property law, planning law, and dispute resolution.Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or argue for plaintiff's case in construction disputes.Conduct research to inform legal proceedings, gather evidence, formulate defense strategies, and develop arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.Prepare and draft legal documents such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.Negotiate settlements of civil disputes in the best interest of the client.Stay updated on changes in law, regulations, and industry trends related to construction law, and advise clients accordingly.Collaborate with a team of lawyers, paralegals, and other staff to ensure the efficient and effective handling of legal matters.Qualifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.License to practice law in Indiana.1+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, ideally in construction law.Proven experience in litigation, accounting, finance, and/or engineering.Excellent negotiation, research, and communication skills.Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal principles clearly and effectively.Interested in hearing more?
