Title: Payroll AccountantPay Range: $29-$33/hr DOELocation: Albuquerque, NMDuration: 6-month contract (Contract to Permanent Hire)Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pmOur client is a global leader in launch and space systems manufacturing and operating spacecraft. Great company to work for!Responsibilities:•Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and timely according to company specific pay policies.•Review time sheets for accuracy and adherence to payroll policies and procedures.•Ensures compliance with federal and state payroll requirements.•Reconciles third party payroll to general ledger.•As needed, assist in audits of internal records; workers compensation, financial and tax filings.•Prepare month-end payroll related journal entries.•Responsible for reconciling payroll/benefits balance sheet accounts.•Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:•Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance and 3+ years of payroll or equivalent combination•Certified Accountant•Must have experience working with large corporations•Experience with integrated payroll systems•Proficient with Microsoft Office• Must be very personable to quickly build rapport with people and deal effectively with a large workforce•Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language•Must be a US Citizen or green card holderAdditional Qualifications:•Experience with integrated payroll systems•Outstanding organizational skills•Exceptional communication and customer service skills•Protects payroll information by keeping information confidential•Ability to work with general supervision
