Steptoe & Johnson PLLC is seeking a polished Litigation Paralegal to join our Lexington, KY office. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in insurance defense litigation. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Experience in insurance defense litigation.Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation, including drafting legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information.Organize and maintain case files, documents, and exhibits.Prepare and file court documents, including e-filing when necessary.Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness.Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness materials.Perform general administrative tasks to support the legal team.QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.Proficient in legal drafting and document preparation.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Excellent proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail.Familiarity with document management systems and legal research databases.Knowledge of court procedures and filing requirements.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional phone etiquette.We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages.
