Job Description

Provide office-based operational support to projects and project teams, either staffed as a member of a project team or via task-based assignments. Project Coordinator responsibilities include:Office-Based Project Engineer / Project Engineering Support:Execute new project setup in project management softwareImplement the project document control processWork on or lead the RFI processCreate submittal and procurement logsReview, approve and process submittals and shop drawingsManage material procurement, including shop visits for material fabrication/procurement status updatesCreate and distribute documentation in support of the quality processCreate and distribute documentation in support of the safety processCreate and distribute punchlistsWork on or lead project closeoutIf the Project Coordinator is staffed on a project team as an Office-Based Project Engineer, the Project Coordinator shall be responsible for some or all of the above duties per the Project Staff Responsibility Matrix. Alternatively, the Project Coordinator may be asked to provide task-based project engineering support by executing some of the duties above on a given project. Project Management Support:Draft subcontract scopes of workUpdate meeting minutesReview bulletin documents and draft narrative of scope changesDistribute bulletinsFollow up on subcontractor Construction Change Notices and bulletin pricingReview and assemble Construction Change Notice pricing and draft Construction Change NoticesIssue and follow up on subcontractor Statements of AccountAssist in Extra Work Ticket managementDraft subcontractor change ordersDraft documents are to be submitted to the Project Manager for review and processing.Provide coaching to Project EngineersParticipate in the Continuous Improvement processPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:Undergraduate degree in construction management, engineering, or relevant discipline.Between one to three years of commercial construction experience with an emphasis on retail, movie theatres, distribution centers, manufacturing, hospitality and/or office buildings.Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Experience using project management software (Procore, Sage, CMC, Contract Manager, Plans and Specs, Constructware, SharePoint and Viewpoint).Experience using estimating software (Timberline, Win Est., Quote Express, On-Screen Quantity Takeoff) not required, but preferred.Strong attention to detail, organization skills and the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.Conveys a sense of urgency and projects a positive, proactive desire to support a broad range of initiatives.The ability to interact professionally and effectively with managers and co-workers.
