Please see additional details below:Permanent positionFULL TIME ONSITELocation: Akron, NYSalary: $85k-$95kDuties:· Analyze the cost of raw materials, labor and overhead to determine the cost of production.· Develop budgets and forecasts based on cost analysis to help guide financial planning and decision-making.· Investigate and explain differences between actual costs and budgeted costs, identifying areas for improvement and/or costing-saving opportunities.· Monitor inventory levels and valuation, ensuring accuracy in inventory records, and implementing inventory control procedures. Lead efforts on the annual physical inventory and cost-roll exercises.· Identify inefficiencies in cost accounting processes and recommend improvements to streamline operations and increase efficiency.· Prepare financial reports, including cost reports, profitability analysis and variance reports, for the management team.· Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations and company policies related to cost accounting practices.· Performs other duties as assigned.· Attendance is an essential function of the job.o set up new materials and perform cost rolls, on an as-needed basis o manage the manufacturing work order process and analyze material, labor, and overhead variances o analyze and maintain current cost models o assist with month-end and year-end close, such as preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
