You will be working on a broad range of projects, from commercial and residential buildings to bridges and infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about problem-solving and has a keen interest in design and construction. ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Designing, planning, and overseeing the construction of new buildings and bridges, as well as extensions or alterations to existing structures.Conducting structural analysis and design using software such as Revit and Finite Element Analysis.Preparing and presenting detailed reports and design statements based on structural specifications, codes, and standards.Working collaboratively with architects, construction managers, and other engineers to ensure the structural soundness of various projects.Incorporating seismic design principles into your work to ensure structures can withstand earthquakes and other natural disasters.Performing site visits and inspections to monitor the progress of projects and ensure compliance with design specifications.Providing technical advice to project stakeholders and resolving any structural issues that may arise during construction.Continually updating your knowledge and skills in line with advancements in structural engineering technology and practices.QualificationsTo be considered for this role, you must have:A bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. A master's degree would be an added advantage.A minimum of five years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on building design.Proficiency in using engineering design and analysis software such as Revit and Finite Element Analysis.A solid understanding of seismic design principles and their application in structural engineering.Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to explain complex engineering principles and methods to non-engineers.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively to develop innovative solutions to engineering challenges.A professional engineering (PE) license, or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.A commitment to maintaining high safety standards and complying with all relevant regulations and codes.
