We are looking for a Technical Designer for womens and childrens sleepwear for a top fashion company in New York, New York. This position operates 3 days onsite in NYC.Responsibilities:Participate in Tech Pack pass off and provide technical support for Design to build necessary detail sketches in development stageUnderstand Design requirement and add size charts to the Centric PLM systemWork with Hub / SCFT for proto / SMS making, both physical and digital samples, accurately translating required aesthetic and fitLead the risk assessment process with Supply, RM & QA to mitigate risk in bulk stageOrganize & prepare fit sessions and interact with Design & Supply teams with necessary technical feedbackProvide fit comments with relevant detail to correct fit/aesthetic issues and move to approvalFollow up with the cross functional team on the risk mitigation action & testing reportsMaintain the block samples & fit samples libraryDay to day emails and follow-upsSupport the leader on building new blocks and projectsQualifications:5-7+ years experience in a Technical Design for womens and childrens sleepwear preferredPattern making & garment construction and make detail knowledge preferredDegree in Technical Design or equivalent work experienceCategory-specific technical expertise - performance wearWell organized, and strong time management; understanding of product development process and calendarsStrong verbal & written communication skills with the ability to take on initiativesAbility to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast paced environmentStrong detail orientation, self-motivated team player with superior interpersonal skillsExcellent Centric PLM, PC skills, including Excel, Word, Power Point, IllustratorStrong team playerIf you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.The Solomon Page DistinctionSolomon Page offers a comprehensive benefit program for hourly employees.
