Position: Events & Marketing CoordinatorOrganizational Overview: United Community Family Services (UCFS) is a community-based, community led organization serving families and individuals living at or below the ALICE Threshold, primarily refugees and immigrants. UCFS provides wrap-around services to empower our clients to reach long-term independence with dignity. For more information on programs and services provided, please visit our website.Position Overview: As the Events & Marketing Coordinator at UCFS, you will play a vital role in supporting the fundraising and development efforts of our organization. Your responsibilities will encompass various tasks related to event coordination, marketing efforts, especially digital marketing, and fundraising campaigns. We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, organized individual who is passionate about contributing to a more equitable community for all.Responsibilities:Events Coordination:Manage all aspects of event planning and execution, meeting all deadlines and staying within budget limits.Work with management, board, and volunteers to identify event needs and develop detailed plans with specifictasks and timelines that will achieve the goals.Plan and facilitate logistics for all events, including venue research and site visits, contract negotiations, preparingguest lists and seating charts, securing auction items, secure event vendors (i.e. décor, entertainment, print materials, etc.)Manage all on-site event activities including delivery of supplies/equipment, set up, troubleshooting and issue resolution, and event breakdown, ensuring consistent and high-level service throughout all phases.Solicit sponsorships for events and ticket sales to meet revenue goals.Solicit interesting and fun auction or raffle items, including experiences.Coordinates volunteer committees as it relates to special events.Work with Board to engage them in fundraising efforts.Promote events via social media, website, mass text, email, and other communications.Manage payment and information collections.Perform other related duties as assigned.Currently, UCFS hosts four events a year - Eggsceptional Easter Party, Annual Timeless Hope Gala, and Christmas in Whoville. The fourth "event" is a Summer Raffle that generates revenue through ticket sales with the help of staff, volunteers, and Board members.Manage Google AdsCreate Google ad campaigns for programs, volunteer opportunities, online fundraisers, events, and more.Analyze and evaluate Google ad campaign performance and adjust as needed.Social Media ManagementTake quality photos and videos for social media and other communicationsRemain aware of all organizational activities - programs, fundraising, events, etc. to ensure images and videos are collected for content.Coordinate with staff to ensure quality pictures and videos are taken for social media and other contentManage content organization on shared driveSchedule social media in advance including reels, images, stories, etc.Plan social media campaigns in accordance with significant holidays and events (i.e. World Refugee Day, Welcoming Week, Women's History Month, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.)Other duties as assigned:Assist with creating promotional materials (i.e. post cards, one-pagers, annual reports, etc.)Administrative tasks as it relates to development activities will be assigned as needed.All UCFS staff assist with occasional administrative and programmatic activities as assigned.Qualifications:Degree in Non-profit Management, Marketing, Communications, or other related field preferred1-2 years of experience in event planning, fundraising, social media, marketing, and/or non-profit administrationExceptional verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational skills with follow through, detail orientation, and ability to meet deadlines.Ability to work as part of a team and autonomouslyPreferred Skills/Experience:Experience with Google Ads strongly preferredExperience using CanvaExperience using Proficiency in ExcelFamiliarity and experience with social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.What we offer:Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
