Occasional travel to Boston HQ is required.The Sr Director, Marketing is an integral member of the leadership team and is responsible for all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing marketing strategies which includebut are not limited to: B2C, ROI based digital marketing, B2B, demand generation, public relations, brand strategy / brand marketing, customer insights, media engagement, social media and events marketing. We are looking for a strong digitally savvy marketing generalist that has deep experience in marketing across digital channels to build and strengthen a brand identity and acquire customers in cost-effective and innovative ways.The Sr Director, Marketing will also be responsible for achieving marketing targets with respect to overarching organization growth, optimizing all marketing metrics, analytics and campaign performance reporting. The Sr Director of marketing will also interact closely with other department leadership such as Sales, Product, Analytics, Finance, HR and others.The position is responsible for building, educating and directing the day-to-day activities of the marketing team. The Sr. Director, Marketing is also responsible for managing the relationships of supporting agency partners engaged to deliver the execution of the company's marketing strategy.Primary ResponsibilitiesAccountability for marketing return on investment, creating new customers, improving brand awareness and improving quality of all communications. Provide thought leadership and strategic direction for marketing, branding and brand communications. Develop and execute a cohesive and fully integrated annual marketing plan which supports the strategic direction of the organization and includes but is not limited to digital, advertising, media engagement, public relations, social media plan, SEO, web analytics, etc. Establish and Manage processes and systems for continual improvement of marketing to maximize ROIProvide innovative ideas that elevate marketing to a higher level and support business and product strategiesEnsure effective and efficient marketing, branding and communications strategies across all channels.Drive marketing ROI and performance through a result-driven approach where we continually test and evaluate new modern marketing opportunities. Determine how to maximize marketing results based on where and how we invest our marketing dollars. Lead external agencies to deliver work that exceeds expectations. Build, motivate and lead marketing team with a continual focus on success and business objectives Build the department with the correct balance of internal staffing and external resources to deliver best-in-class marketing services to the organization.Overseeing and providing direction to market research studies and competitor analysis.Create an institutional and system-wide marketing reporting function that can track, measure and analyze the performance of each element of the marketing plan.Ensure all marketing communications are coordinated and support the strategic marketing plans across the organization.Actively engage, cultivate and manage media relationships either as the primary contact or in a supporting role to any other employee who may be required to interact with the media.Job RequirementsA proven track record of being able to optimize and enhance marketing with measurable results in both B2C and B2BExecutive-level experience with marketing strategy and ability to lead, hire and mentor team through executionMinimum 8+ years in digital marketing channels including email, social media and online paid media, involving acquiring customers digitally. Salesforce experience required.Experience with Marketing Cloud Ad Studio and Audience Builder a plus.Strong Google Ads, Analytics, and Data Studio tools experience.Strong Facebook advertising experience.Relevant experience in finance and lending, preferred to have experience in automotive finance, digital auto shopping, automotive retail, and/or other industries serving automotive dealershipsStrong leadership skills with the ability to strategically architect a department and develop team members.Strong foundational understanding of marketing, marketing metrics and how to continually improve resultsVisionary mindset as it relates to both modern B2B and B2C marketing.Excellent communication skills.Strategic mindset with ability to make difficult decisions.Fundamental understanding of the interworking elements of advertising agencies, PR firms and other supporting agencies.Well versed in modern marketing best practices including but not limited to; SEO, web analytics and digital marketing strategies and tacticsStrong analytic and project management skills and obsession with performance reportingStrong understanding of financial and budgetary processes including department budgets and P&L statements.Education:Required: BS Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or relevant field.Preferred: MBAExperience:Minimum of 5 years leading Marketing teams Minimum of 10 years of proven work experience in marketing with demonstrable experience in designing, implementing and executing successful marketing, public relations, social media and communications campaigns.
