Service Manager:Analytical and Combustion Systems (ACS) is seeking a skilled individual to take on the role of Service Manager at their Bethel, CT-based office. This person would be responsible for managing the work performance of service technicians and service coordinators, both locally and internationally, in the field and within a dynamic office setting. Given the nature of ACS's business, experience with commercial and industrial boilers, controls, fuel oil systems, and related equipment would be highly valuable.The ideal candidate would possess excellent leadership and organizational skills, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and a professional demeanor. Support field representatives on jobsitesWorking onsite with field technicians 25% of the time in the greater Bethel area (2+ hour radius outside of the Bethel/Danbury offices).Prepare and issue contractsGenerating contracts and invoices for services requested by customers, detailing the scope of work and associated costs.InvoicingGenerating and sending invoices to customers for completed services, tracking payments, and ensuring accuracy in billing.Lead, train, and manage Field EngineersLead existing field team (12+ people) and hire additional team members as needed. This includes daily check-ins and quarterly reviews with the team. Handle fast-paced, ever-changing workloadManaging a dynamic and frequently changing workload, adapting to new service requests, emergencies, or changes in priorities.Preferred qualifications for the role include:At least 5 years' experiencePrior experience in a similar role within the industry, demonstrating a strong understanding of field engineering and team management processes and requirements.Ability to multitaskCapable of managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously, efficiently allocating resources and addressing competing demands.Can-Do attitudeDemonstrating a proactive and positive attitude, with a willingness to take on challenges and find solutions to problems as they arise.ProfessionalismMaintaining a high level of professionalism in all interactions with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders, representing ACS in a positive and professional manner.The ability to learn and calm demeanorOpenness to learning new processes and procedures, combined with a calm and composed demeanor, especially in high-pressure or challenging situations.These qualifications and duties outline the key responsibilities and requirements for the Service Manager position at ACS, emphasizing the importance of strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach to service coordination.
