We are currently seeking a Senior Psychiatrist for our facility in New York. Role Overview:The Senior Psychiatrist leads a compassionate team in providing holistic care for incarcerated patients. They work closely with mental health and medical teams, focusing on evidence-based practices and supporting staff growth and development. A team-based approach to care is critical, incorporating all relevant mental health and medical disciplines as well as security staff. Key responsibilities include training, recruiting, and retaining high-quality staff, and providing strong leadership and mentorship. Education: M.D. or D.O. degree with active NY State license in good standing Completion of a 4-year psychiatric residency training program Active certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Psychiatry Experience: At least two years of post-residency experience working with individuals with mental illness in a criminal justice setting (jail, prison, probation, and/or parole) or public health community setting At least one year of post-residency experience in a supervisory role in psychiatry At least one year of post-residency experience working with individuals with serious mental illness An equivalent and satisfactory combination of education and experience may be considered Benefits: Annual Salary $320k, M-F day shift Comprehensive Health Insurance coverage from Day 1 Generous PTO and Sick Leave allowances Various Retirement Plans to choose from College Plans available Additional perks Interested candidates can reply directly or schedule a meeting at a convenient time through the following link: look forward to speaking with you.
