Job Description

As a Point of Sale (POS) Coordinator at Joseph's Classic Market, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient transactions at our retail locations, managing all aspects of our point of sale systems, and providing support to various departments on various reporting and IT related tasks and projects. This position requires a strong understanding of POS operations with over 15,000 items, excellent communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly. Routine Tasks:-Item File Maintenance - add new items into the POS (ECRS Catapult) according to predetermined policies to maintain data integrity. Managing price changes such as temporary price reductions on sale items, retail adjustments after cost changes and margin audits-Cost Changes - coordinate with purchasing team to ensure costs are updated and accurate in the system. Assist with bid sheets and yield sheets. -Reporting - routinely weekly and monthly reporting such as gross margin audits, open rings, ad hoc reports as needed to support various departments-Price Discrepancies - work with accounts payable to identify and address price discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices-Updating PLU sheets - lists of items and code being used at store level-Cross Department Communication - Oversee the daily operations of POS systems and being prepared to resolve related issues. Work with operations to ensure price changes have been received and signs or tags have been updated. Coordinate with culinary team on recipe management system adjustments. Other various communication as needed. -Miscellaneous Audits - Sales Tax and EBT. Shelf life. Order Guide Adjustments-IT point of contact - Coordinate support between IT and POS vendors and operational teams to resolve various IT issues such as scales and server matters-Recipe Management - work with culinary team to assist with item file maintenance in recipe software (Reciprofity)-POS User Setup and Training - Create new users and assist with training them on the POS functions relevant to them-Miscellaneous tasks as assignedProjects:-Policies and Procedures - Audit and establish policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and security-Data Purge - audit and clean system to establish -Updates - work with POS vendor and IT company to ensure all systems are updated and working properly-Implement new business intelligence reporting program - assist with implementing various data analytics tools to help with business decisionsQualifications:-Proven experience as a POS Coordinator, POS Administrator, or similar role in a retail environment-Strong technical proficiency with POS systems, including hardware and software troubleshooting-Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail-Effective communication skills, both verbal and written-Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously-Problem-solving skills with a proactive and resourceful mindset-Familiarity with data analysis and reporting from POS systems in preferred-SQL experience is a plus
