The GEICO Local Office of New Hyde Park is seeking bilingual sales agents (Spanish, Mandarin, Punjabi, Bengali, Urdu, or Hindi preferred) to join our in-office team. Our sales experts are licensed agents who are goal-oriented, have a passion for sales, are motivated to generate new leads, and enjoy interacting with customers.As an insurance sales agent, you will answer calls, handle customer inquiries, explain insurance coverages, and sell new policies across multiple product lines. An individual must be well networked and have the confidence to generate new leads. Our agents have a variety of past experiences but the most successful have a strong sales background and a history of providing excellent customer service.CompensationIn addition to a base salary of $50,000 (flexible based on prior experience), agents will earn monthly commissions based on performance and written premium. Agents that are driven to become top performers have the potential to be very successful within our attractive commission structure.Education & TrainingWe will provide you with a strong foundation on which to build your career. Agents will receive paid industry training in advance of taking calls and interacting with customers. We invest in our agents by ensuring they receive frequent one on one coaching and career development.Qualifications & SkillsBilingual required (Spanish, Mandarin, Punjabi, Bengali, Urdu, or Hindi preferred)Property & Casualty or Personal Lines license required.High energy personality and competitive spirit.Basic knowledge of the insurance industry preferred.Previous sales experience and proven sales closing skills.Ability to provide outstanding customer service.Excellent communication, interpersonal and networking skills.Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, competitive environment.10:30am - 7pm schedule (with rotating Saturdays).What We OfferCompetitive base salary based on experience plus generous monthly bonus based on performance and premium written.3 weeks Paid Time Off (PTO)Paid Holidays401kPaid TrainingDaily list of sales leadsFriendly team environment
