Currently we hiring for a Civil Transporation Engineer with our client in Columbus, OHUnder direction, the Project Engineer performs engineering design tasks related to roadway geometrics, drainage, maintenance of traffic, pavement markings, signage, traffic signals, and traffic engineering studies. The position requires a self-starter who can independently learn the standard processes and procedures used to design and deliver a variety of roadway transportation projects. The Project Engineer must manage multiple tasks for various engineering leads while meeting deadlines and adhering to budgetary constraints. Qualified candidates will have a strong background in roadway/highway design. Some regional travel may be required.Tasks:Perform required aspects of roadway engineering based on a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts under the direction of lead engineers.Collaborate with lead engineers on technical and management tasks.Provide updates to lead engineers on project progress, status reports, schedules, and budgets.Track the progress of deliverables, client reviews, technical input, and comment resolution.Lead smaller projects as required.Skills + Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.Engineer License in Ohio is required, with the ability to submit for reciprocity.3+ years of transportation design experience, preferably with ODOT.Knowledge of AASHTO and ODOT Design Criteria and ODOT Project Development Process.Strong leadership and communication skills with a positive attitude.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.High attention to detail and accuracy; commitment to delivering high-quality results.Skilled with CAD/Design software (OpenRoads Designer, Microstation, and Geopak).Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
