Position SummaryThe Director of Event Content and Programming will be a part of the larger Membership, Investor Relations and Conference/Events team and support the development of major conference programming, panel development and content preparation for all major MFA conferences as well as selected seminars and peer-to-peer forums.Essential ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the Vice President, Content and Programming, this role will work closely with the Association's leadership team to program content around key policy, macroeconomic and operational issues and engage with the Association's members and sponsors on various topics.Work collaboratively with the Events, Membership and Sponsorship teams, and executive team members on all aspects of event programming, thought leadership and partner engagement.Help build advisory boards for MFA's major conferences as a resource for developing programs and booking speakers.Work to simultaneously program upcoming events and actively seek out the most innovative and compelling program speakers.Develop event agenda content and guest speaker lineups for conferences, seminars, peer to peer forums and ancillary member events at the Association.Develop the content and design of program collateral, event surveys and materials for MFA leadership for all major conferences.Conduct research for development of relevant, high impact and innovative event program content and speakers; collaborate with internal teams to tap policy and regulatory expertise alongside external research.Develop and execute marketing strategy for each event, particularly those with specific revenue targets.Draft, review and share content for event promotions with relevant stakeholders, including email, print advertisements and digital marketing, i.e. social media and paid search.Support sponsorship of major conferences to ensure thoughtful integration of sponsor speakers into event programming where applicable.Build and manage advisory boards for MFA's major conferences; support engagement with institutional investor community through speaker invites.Manage event content development and session preparation for all conference and event speakers.Coordinate with AV teams to ensure program logistics are in place before and during the event.Draft on-site scripts and program materials for teammates and MFA leadership at conferences and events.Manage on-site speaker registration, panel logistics and speaker engagement.Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor's degree preferred; advanced degree in finance, business, journalism, or a related discipline preferred.A minimum of 5 years of programming, marketing, communications, and/or media experience, within the financial services or private sector.
