With 1800+ employees in more than 30 countries and over 75 years of experience, we are the trusted, global, long-term partner for the world's leading OEMs.Job DescriptionEssential FunctionsTo ensure product conformity, Lab & Metrology analysis on products, provides appropriate measurement systems to production and ensures its calibration and verification.Performs the measurements for initial samples, incoming inspection for purchased parts according to control plan (including conformity checks of material certificates), first off parts if applicable, sampling inspections, product audits, layout inspection and problem solvingSupports in preparation of PPAPSupports production in implementation and use of SPC in production according to the control planSupports with metrology competence whenever needed, e.g. trainingIn case of non-conforming product escalates to the relevant function for further decisionParticipates in design and approval of new gage conceptsVerifies gages, manages calibration and MSA (Measurement System Analysis) for all measuring systems (planning, execution, documentation)Participates in the development of metrology methods and competence in the international networkSupporting product/process auditsDaily shopfloor management (supporting)Internal claims / supporting B&W - SPC analyze and taking care about internal claimsZero Defect Mentality SupportQualificationsKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesAttention to detailAbility to read and understand technical drawingsMetrology techniques and equipmentMeasurement systems analysis (MSA)Statistical process control (SPC)Education / ExperienceHigh School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalentA minimum of three years experience in a metrology laboratory or related fieldAdditional InformationNote: This is a 3rd Shift Position (Nights)All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Oetiker Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
