Having an expertise in mechanical or electrical would-be a plus. Candidates should have strong communication skills, the ability to work independently to meet deadlines and most of all, be resourceful and coachable.Construction Estimator Job Responsibilities:Prepare and estimate budget costs for construction by studying plans and specifications.Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare scopes of work for all tradesResolve cost differences by analyzing and collecting info.Write up and present budgets, reports, and project plans to executive team.Develop bids for construction projects.Solicit vendors/subcontractors for bid opportunities.Work closely with architects, engineers and other professionals.Schedule meetings with clients, site managers, and staff.Travel to building sites as required.Works with Operations/Project Management team to monitor the construction process.Stays up to date with safety codes and improvements in construction.Work Hours & Benefits:Kroll Konstruction is looking to hire a full-time estimator that would work with our Preconstruction Department & Business Development team to submit budgets and proposal packages to our existing and new clients. Work hours are from 8am-5pm Monday thru Friday, with the possibility of extended hours or travel to out of state jobsites. This position will require regular office hours, but as we work in all four time zones, hours may vary to accommodate bids. Our compensation package includes: annual salary (varies depending on experience & competency), annual bonus/profit share, per diem (when traveling), health care.Construction Estimator Qualifications and SkillsStrong math skillsAbility to navigate specifications and plansProficiency in demonstrating proposals and projectsAbility to handle multiple assignments at onceClose attention to detailWorking knowledge of: Microsoft Suite (Excel, Project, Word, Power Point) or Goggle EquivalentExperience with Planswift, BlueBeam, BIM360 and Building Connected is a plusAbility to work independently and still be highly efficientExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEducation and Experience Requirements:A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture is preferred (but not required)Journeyman's license in a specific trade (particularly electrical) is preferredAt least 2 years of related experience is requiredExcitement?
