Iris client, one of their Insurance Client is looking to hire Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for Jersey city NJ (Hybrid)Experience: 10+ YearsMust have: Strong AWS, Terraform and GitHubJob description :SRE is part of an application team matrixed to the Cloud Services Team to perform a specialized function that focuses on the automation of availability, performance, maintainability and optimization of business applications on the client IaaS (AWS) platform. To be effective in the position, a SRE must have strong AWS, Terraform and GitHubskills as the IaaS platform is 100% automated. All changes being applied to the environment must be automated with Terraform and checked into GitHub version control. A matrixed SRE will be provided the Reliability Engineering role in the accounts they are responsible for. This role includes the rights to perform all the necessary functions required to support the applications in the IaaS environment. An SRE is required to adhere to all Enterprise processes and controls (i.e.: ChgMgt, Incident and Problem Mgmt., etc.) and ensure alignment to Cloud standards and best practices.Required Qualifications:Ability to write and implement IaC and platform automation using Terraform.Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code - TerraformStrong public cloud provider experience (AWS SysOps or DevOps certification a plus)Strong systems, network, and admin knowledgeExperience troubleshooting application issues in an IaaS environment.Working knowledge of DevOps and delivery tools (GitHub)Practical experience with modern scripting languages (Python, .Net, C#, Java)Experience in complete SDLC/agile practices.Willing to work on any other applications.Experience in SaaS, PaaS appsExperience in Linux, Windows OS and RDBMS experiences.Iris Software, Inc. is a New Jersey based company providing information technology solutions to clients nationwide.
