Job Description

Brooksource is looking for an API Developer wo work within one of our retail client's Marketing Technology org to ensure integrations are implemented utilizing industry best practices and within the guidelines set forth. The developer will adopt integration design patterns, best practices, devops, test driven development to simplify integrations within the organization. They will also facilitate design patterns which support reuse, test driven development, and simplification of software packages within the organization. They will work with squads to support design across different domains.What you will be doing?Build data APIs and data delivery services to support customer facing systems utilizing best practicesCollaborate effectively across cross functional engineering architecture, and project teams to develop solutions in a transforming agile environmentBe responsible for developing API, event streams in the modern integrations platform, utilizing best practicesTeam up with the Engineering Leads and Enterprise Architects to develop design patters, accelerators, templates, best practices, and KPIs for faster, simpler, and more efficient integrationsPartner and work with the infrastructure and security teams on DevOps and solutions designAdopt and promote self-service APIs, event streams, integrations standards and practices across IT organizationActively participate on technical user groups, task forces, and committeesWhat do you need to bring?4+ years of data integration experience3+years of experience in design and development of integrations, APIs, and MicroservicesExperience in working with Kafka connectors, Producer and consumer APIsGood understanding of Streaming message delivery semanticsStrong understanding of data architecture, data integration and data quality managementAbility to work independently or in a team environment and effectively meet project deliverables on timeMust demonstrate strong communication and team collaboration skillsDemonstrated ability in developing a culture that embraces innovation, and challenges existing paradigmsExcellent problem solving, issue identification, analytical and technical documentation skillsFamiliarity with debugging tools (i.e. Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.)Experience with Data Lakes, CRM, and CDP tools is a plusPersonal Attributes: self-starter, collaborative, curious, strong work ethic, highly motivated, team orientedBrooksource provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, citizenship, disability, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, amnesty or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
