In this role technicians will specialize in operating a Test Truck/Rig to perform services on weighing equipment in the field. The ideal candidate should have a general mechanical or electrical background, be a self-starter with a solid customer oriented approach.Responsibilities:Operation of company Test Truck and/or Rig type CDL vehicle to perform a variety of field services including: installation, calibration, testing, and maintenance of customer equipment, often outdoorsAbility to mechanically and electrically troubleshoot, identify, and diagnose malfunctions and repair weighing equipment related to Heavy CapacityCapability of leading projects and being a resource to peers while on job sitesIdentify potential sales opportunities & offer solutions to benefit the customer operationsQualifications:Comfortable working in all work environments, outdoor industrial settings includes dust, dirt, extreme temps both hot & coldAble to work overtime as needed to complete projects within defined deadlinesHold a Class B CDL (drivers license) Familiarity with industrial service tools, and welding experience desirableBasic understanding of 120VAC wiring and/or DC signal wiringStrong problem solving & critical thinking skillsOffer exceptional customer service and communicate effectivelyAble to bend, crawl, and lift 50 lb. for extended periods of time in a safe mannerWant to hear more about what we have to offer at Gerhart?
