Food Solutions International - Driver (Type 3) POSITION SUMMARY: * Location: Food Solutions * Status: Non-Exempt * Ray of Pay: The pay listed is what one could reasonably expect to earn depending upon work experience Reporting to the immediate supervisor, this position is primarily responsible for delivering all orders on a timely basis as determined by customer needs and company scheduling. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Locate deliveries at bakery and load the truck in proper sequence * Check orders and short sheets for any missing items * Rotate merchandise, make invoice and credit tickets, and handle COD's * Responsible for opening up the bakery and turning the alarm system off * Responsible for properly maintaining the truck or van's air pressure in tires, and checking the gas, oil, and water level * Check tire wear daily. * Check items that need service or repair on a daily basis. * Report any problems to an immediate supervisor. Check with the unit office supervisor to see if needed to assist with other duties. QUALIFICATIONS: * Education * High school diploma or equivalent * Experience * Ability to complete company training * Operating and maintaining a 25,500 lbs GVW truck or less * Scheduling * Monday - Friday, 12:00AM - 8:30AM, delivery route is island wide * Schedule may vary. * Desired Skills: * Ability to communicate and follow directions * Must be familiar with island town and roads * Desired Skills: * Dependable and trustworthy * Works well with colleagues, team player * Physical Ability: * Lift 40 - 50 lbs. * Push a rack of products up to 200 - 300 lbs. * Mental Ability: * Understand the facts of the working environment and position * Learn and retain the knowledge provided about the environment, equipment and position * Quickly compute basic math calculations * Environmental Conditions: * Task duties are performed both indoors and outdoors.
