MaineHealth Corporate Information ServicesReq #: 9865 - Hybrid work schedule Summary The Business Intelligence Developer will design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions. This is the second level in a three-level career path in which the individual will work closely across business functions to investigate data, analyze user requirements, and provide solutions to present information through reports, analyses, and visualizations. Must have the ability to understand the business questions and translate those business questions into analytic solutions. They will collaborate with business analysts, architects, and customers to provide high-value technical solutions. Delivering those solutions will be achieved by developing, enhancing, or maintaining standard reports, analyses, and data extracts. It is essential that the Business Intelligence Developer build an understanding of MaineHealth customers at a level of detail that enables them to identify and address critical issues. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or specialized training/certification in business analytics (or equivalent work experience). Experience: 3+ years of business intelligence developer or related technical experience; 3+ years of experience with a programming language (MS-SQL preferred); Must complete mandatory training requirements within 2-4 months of hire/start date; Healthcare experience preferred. Software Experience: Experience working with Business Intelligence software programs desirable (examples include: SAP BI Suite, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, IBM Cognos, QlikView, or QlikSense). Demonstrated experience in producing technical documentation. Demonstrated experience in report distribution, build, and testing strategies. Team player with problem-solving skills and strong business acumen. Proven ability to utilize knowledge of computer systems and understand complex data structures to develop analytics solutions. Demonstrated experience and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
