SUMMARY The Shipping and Receiving Clerk prepares shipping and receiving documents, receives material and equipment according to established procedures and shipping regulations, meeting customer delivery requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. * Ensure customer order and product match. * Contact common carriers and schedule pick-ups, ensuring the meeting of customer delivery requirements. * Inspect materials and ensure bills of lading are correct. * Verify the quantity and quality of material received. * Affix completed address label and any other special labels required for the handling of material and specified by the carrier. * Complete and maintain all required paperwork. * Review and correct freight bills as needed * Maintain departmental housekeeping and safety standards.
