Base pay range $225,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr Our client, a top tier PE firm, is looking for a Senior Controller to join the team. Job Overview The Controller will report to the COO and have primary responsibility for portfolio company reporting, fund reporting, and management company budgeting. Additionally, they will liaise with the 3rd party fund administrator and assist the COO and other senior team members with reporting to limited partners and maintenance of the firm's fund entities. Job Responsibilities Oversees accounting system and reviews and approves monthly cash and position reconciliations performed by the fund administrator. Lead aggregation of full quarterly portfolio company reporting, working in tandem with portfolio company finance heads and deal team members to ensure submission quality and timeliness. Lead analysis of portfolio company reporting and presentation to senior team members on a quarterly basis, and augment collection and analysis items from time to time in conjunction with senior team members. Onboard and educate new portfolio companies regarding reporting requirements. Maintain day-to-day responsibility for annual management company budget, planning, and analysis. Work with external fund administrator to prepare monthly budget updates. Assist in long-term budget projections. Prepare quarterly investment valuation files/marks and lead interactions with senior team. Assist in preparation of quarterly reports to investors for the firm's funds, as well as periodic reports to investors in co-invest vehicles. Review and distribute tax reporting documentation for co-investment vehicles. Review monthly bank account reconciliations. Review and approve audit confirmations. Qualifications 10-20 years of Private Equity Fund Accounting Experience. Must have a CPA. Ability to work independently and proactively manage workflows. Strong communication skills and ability to interact well with LPs and portfolio company executives. Experience with administering and using fund management software.
