Position Overview We are looking for an experienced electrical engineer, preferably a P.E. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, with broad experience in electrical design, engineering, documentation, and business knowledge to be a hands-on "voice of the customer", translating customer needs into software development requirements. The electrical engineering SME must understand building electrical distribution systems across all design phases, from conceptual design to installation, and be knowledgeable about codes and standards such as NEC, IEEE, and ANSI. Familiarity with relevant calculations is key to success in this role. The SME should also be familiar with the Agile software development process. If you are an expert in electrical engineering and construction, have functional knowledge of Agile processes, and are excited about contributing to innovative projects for Revit Electrical Advanced Design solutions, this is the job for you! Responsibilities Develop written specifications for electrical features within the application. Aid in translating specifications into functional requirements and user stories. Identify areas where technical solutions improve business performance. Translate business and customer needs into software requirements in a TDD/BDD capacity. Contribute to the development of technical reference information, including user guides and system requirements. Determine whether technical solutions meet defined requirements. Build functional requirements documentation conveying customer practices. Collaborate with local electrical experts on code compliance and design calculation input. Identify and document localization requirements linked to local design practices. Provide inputs to the product team about electrical standards. Act as the voice of the customer towards the development team. Participate in sessions with peers and customers to address Electrical Engineers' business objectives. Lead Schneider industry strategy workshops for internal Schneider and partner consumption. Contribute to the definition of user acceptance test plans and criteria. Manage select customer relationships, analyzing long-term technology issues for roadmap development. Qualifications Desired Qualifications Deep understanding of electrical design, code compliance, and customer experience. Familiarity with load calculations, ampacity sizing, arc flash, and harmonic analysis. Experience with analysis software like SKM or ETAP. Experience designing electrical distribution systems with renewables. Knowledge of AEC design and construction operations. Knowledge of BIM and proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP software. Ability to recommend and implement technical solutions for projects. Ability to translate customer needs into user stories and requirements. Ability to document user stories, requirements, and test plans. Effectiveness in cross-cultural environments. Leadership and collaboration skills. Excellent recordkeeping, written, and verbal communication skills. Fluent in English. The Ideal Candidate P.E. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering. 7-10 years' experience in electrical engineering, design, and documentation. Strong experience in Business Analyst functions.
