Production Supervisor $36.00/hr 12am-9am Tuesday-Saturday (Monday night-Saturday) Onsite: Greenwich, CT This position oversees production lines and operations in the bakery under the supervision of the Production Manager and Plant Manager, ensuring the quality of products and timely delivery to distribution. The role is responsible for the direct supervision of production associates and collaborates closely with other departments, including maintenance, sanitation, and shipping. Key Responsibilities: Safety & Quality Assurance: Uphold and demonstrate support for General Bakery Safety, Food Safety, Food Defense initiatives, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Ensure adherence to all quality requirements, including Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Leadership & Team Management: Provide leadership, training, and coaching to associates, fostering a culture of inclusion and engagement. Manage staff scheduling to ensure adequate production line staffing and coordinate with other departments to minimize downtime. Operational Excellence: Create a Continuous Improvement environment by enhancing products, services, and processes to reduce waste while improving efficiency and profitability. Oversee production start-up, including calculating orders, checking dough sheets, monitoring equipment conditions, and verifying temperature settings. Monitor product quality, implement formula changes as directed, and track adjustments. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain and execute records related to safety, food safety, key performance indicators, and order completion. Enforce and follow procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan, Food Quality Plan, and other programs supporting food safety and quality systems. Ensure compliance with AIB standards, company policies, and government regulations. Incident Management: Conduct incident investigations and manage reporting processes. Ensure identified preventive actions from investigations are completed. LEAN Manufacturing: Participate in and drive a LEAN manufacturing culture. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
