Job Details Job Location: ANCHORAGE, AK Position Type: Part Time Education Level: High School Salary Range: $21.17 - $26.46 Hourly This is a part-time position, 20 hours per week. Hours can be flexible within the window of Monday - Friday, 10 am - 8 pm. Availability to work Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings is preferred. POSITION SUMMARY: Performs routine inspections, maintenance, repairs and performance verification of equipment and building systems in a health care setting. Provides oversight of contractors per the direction of, or in the absence of, the Director of Facilities. Receives, stores, and issues equipment and supplies. Maintains inventory levels in common supply areas and storerooms. Provides courier services and performs janitorial duties as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Maintains and repairs internal and external building finishes and fixtures, lighting, heating, plumbing and other building systems per manufacturers operations and maintenance schedules and specifications. * Maintains settings and controls within building automation systems (BAS) through a direct digital control system (DDC). * Issues and maintains documentation of items related to security such as hard keys, lockers etc. issued to staff per direction of the Director of Facilities. * Maintains and repairs medical, dental, office, janitorial and facilities fixed and mobile equipment per manufacturers operations and maintenance schedules and specifications. * Assists and/or coordinates activities of contractors related to biohazard waste, linens, recycling, document shredding, snow removal/sanding, plumbing, electrical, hvac etc. * Maintains records of maintenance and repair activities of systems and equipment within a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). * Maintains pedestrian walkways and parking areas to ensure the safety of staff and visitors. * Maintains grounds to ensure an aesthetic appearance. * Assists with materials, communications and collaboration with participating organizations in support of the emergency response plan. * Maintains the stocking, ordering and replenishment of supplies including medical, office, janitorial and facility related items. * Verifies contents of inbound shipments against purchase order for accuracy and condition. Coordinates discrepancies of contents and/or damage claims with purchasing department. * Performs annual inventory of durable equipment ensuring accuracy of asset reports. * Labels new asset items with a barcode tag prior to putting into service. * Assists with and reports on relocation or disposal of assets. * Assists in the coordination of activities related to Green Star accreditation. * Coordinates materials recycling activities including paper, plastic, aluminum, batteries, printer toner etc. * Assists in the coordination of activities related to Energy Star accreditation. SUPPORTING DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Cross trains and performs custodian position duties as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Work Experience: Two years of full-time related experience in facility/property maintenance or construction trade required. Education, Certification and Licensure: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional Skills & Knowledge: Must have valid driver's license, use of personal vehicle, proof of current automobile insurance and provide a motor vehicle record. PHYSICAL, SENSORY, ENVIRONMENTAL QUALIFICATIONS: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, grasp, push, pull, reach, lift, bend, carry and move up to 70 pounds, and climb ladders. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, calculators, telephone and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and vision. Work is performed in a healthcare clinic and office setting. ANHC is a tobacco-free campus.
