This role involves managing the MDS team, coordinating the assessment process, and working closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans. The MDS Director ensures that accurate, timely, and comprehensive documentation is completed to support quality patient care, reimbursement, and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:* Lead and supervise the MDS team in completing accurate assessments and care plans.* Review and ensure MDS assessments are completed in compliance with federal and state regulations.* Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other departments to develop and implement individualized care plans.* Monitor and track quality measures to improve patient outcomes.* Provide training and support for staff regarding MDS procedures and regulations.* Review patient records for accuracy and completeness to ensure proper reimbursement.* Stay updated on changes in MDS regulations and ensure facility compliance.Qualifications:* Registered Nurse (RN) or related healthcare degree preferred.* Certification in MDS (e.g., RNAC) or willingness to obtain.* Previous experience in MDS coordination or management in a skilled nursing facility.* Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations governing skilled nursing care and reimbursement systems (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid).* Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.:
