Fleet Parts ManagerA Parts Manager in a Fleet Environment plays a crucial role in managing and coordinating forecasting parts needs, optimizing inventory levels, price checking parts from multiple vendors to reduce costs, handling and stocking incoming parts, placing parts orders for special order items, and collaborating with technicians and shop managers to optimize equipment up time.Responsibilities:Inventory Management: Maintain an organized inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels for repair and service needs.Procurement: Order parts and equipment from vendors, negotiating pricing and delivery terms.Customer Assistance: Assist mechanic in locating and ordering the correct parts to minimize downtime.Coordination: Work closely with the mechanics to ensure parts availability for scheduled repairs and maintenance.Returns and Warranties: Manage returns of defective parts and handle warranty claims.Audits: Perform regular audits of inventory to prevent loss and ensure accuracy.Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and providing information on parts and equipment.Knowledge Update: Stay updated on new parts and equipment, as well as changes in industry standards.Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, receiving tickets, and processing vendor invoices utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management SystemQualifications:Proven experience as a Parts Manager or similar role.Strong understanding of heavy-duty diesel trucktrailer parts and their functions is preferred. At the minimum, a general mechanical knowledge and aptitude is required.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to manage time and competing priorities effectively.Good communication, people management and customer service skills.Familiarity with maintenance management and vehicle maintenance software and experience with Microsoft Office and accurate typing skills.High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)Able to type at least 35 WPM - typing test will be administered as part of the interview processAble to lift 80 lbs., stand for extended periods of time, bend, squat, kneel, and climb.Pay and Benefits: Base Pay Range; $23hr. - $28hr.Medical, Dental, Vision and Supplemental InsuranceAccrued PTOSix Paid HolidaysRetirement Savings Options with 401K and Profit Sharing
